Let's be cool…

There was no mention of this in the release details, but I’m pretty sure Mac OS X 10.6.3 update included a better handling of the power management, or something like that.

Because my Core i7 top part (especially around the iSight and on the right of it) used to be so hot I couldn’t leave my hand on it more than a few seconds in a row and the CPU Fan never ran under 1200rpm or something like that and it was clearly audible, when the room was quiet at night.

And now, it’s still hot, but nothing like before and the CPU Fan hasn’t run above 1000rpm since the update. And I now have a very quiet iMac, as should be.
